North Carolina offerstwo scholarship opportunitites: The Opportunity Scholarship and the ESA+ Scholarship. Students can receive both scholarships and combine funding to pay for tuition at ILA.
1. Opportunity Scholarship
All North Carolina students are eligible to receive the Opportunity Scholarship, but not all who apply will receive funding. Funding for this scholarship is based on financial need and scholarships are funded until the budget runs out each year.

Who can apply for an Opportunity Scholarship?
North Carolina families of students entering kindergarten through 12th grade.

How much money is awarded?
Awards range from approximately $3,000 to $7,000, based on a family’s household income.

How can the money be used?
The money can be used to pay for tuition and other required fees to attend registered private schools, including ILA!
2. ESA+
North Carolina students with a disability are eligible to receive ESA+ scholarships. Students must have an IEP from a NC public school (even if your child doesn't attend a public school, the home district must provide you with one if your child is eligible).

Two Levels of Funding
The base level of funding is a $9,000 annual award; students with certain designated disabilities may be eligible to receive a $17,000 annual award.

Flexible Spending
Funds can be used for K12 school tuition as well as certain allowable expenses such as speech therapy, tutoring, and educational technology.
